C works as a guard at a gas station from 3:00 to 7:00 A.M., as a policeman, and as a guard at a small market during the day. His “wife” drives a taxi and sells items. Yet, the family does not make enough to fix their wash machine. One day, while working at the small market, C saw an old beat-up backpack lying on the road. No one seemed to even notice it. He picked it up and found lists, receipts, a flash drive, and money…enough to fix their wash machine. The flash drive contained Christian music and videos and mission classes. C longed for a relationship with God. But he was confused, and his family had had a bad experience with a church. C and his family decided to try to find the owner and return the backpack.

Calling the phone number on a receipt connected them with GA. The backpack had fallen off his motorcycle. When GA went to C’s house to pick it up, he said that God was really looking out for GA. GA replied that actually, God was trying to get C’s attention. C’s interest was piqued. Wanting to know more, GA came for a Bible study. The first meeting went from 4:00 to 10:00. Each weekly visit became more of a Bible study as C’s questions were answered. C went to church, made a public commitment to the Lord, and attends faithfully! His “wife,” who has been angry at God since their baby died, is now attending services. Seeing the change in the man she has been living with for 18 years, she has agreed to marry him!
