What is missionary work like? Here is the way one FIM missionary describes their ministry. “Our ministry takes us away from family for years at a time, breaks down our physical and mental health, and frequently endangers our lives. Because of anti-conversion laws, we are forced to hide our true motives from the government, and we always know that we could be deported on short notice at any time. Few of the people who hear the gospel respond by seeing the message of the cross as the power of God, and we are often approached by people who lie to us in hopes of gaining some financial advantage. “On the other hand, when God does save someone here, it is an amazing privilege to see it, and we cannot begin to describe what it is like to go to church in a village that had no churches and no Christians the first time that we visited and showed the Jesus movie. God is so good!”
