Of Japan’s population of 123 million, only 0.57% have been reached with the gospel. Churches are small and pastors are aging. It takes time for people to hear the gospel, understand, and come to faith in Christ. The need to reach the Japanese for Christ is urgent!
Having a building in which to congregate is important. House churches are seen as cults, and a number of missionaries are in need of church buildings. Options are limited as some property owners won’t rent to Christians. But the Lord is meeting the need.
Johan & Haruko Strydom are excited with the new, easily accessible, more spacious location for their growing church in Osaka. In Toyohashi, Takuji & Hiroko Yamazaki have purchased land for a new church building to meet their growing need. They are now raising funds for the construction. The churches in Takasaki (Josiah & Noeru Henderson) and in Tokyo (Paul & Michaela Mackey) also need new locations. Pray that these churches may be able to build in light ot the high cost of property and construction in Japan.
