The chief of sports at Monterey University is a Christian who is excited about the gospel. Abbey Reed (Mexico) has had a sports ministry at her school, and they have been friends for many years. She and Abbey have discussed many times what a chaplaincy on campus would look like. Despite the university’s rules and regulations, the chief of sports excitedly began implementing a plan to start chaplaincy for the Puebla campus. The university was so impressed with her ideas that they decided to implement it on various campuses throughout Mexico with her heading up the chaplaincy program for all these campuses. They already are seeing much creativity and excitement.
