The pastors of western Uganda grow coffee to make ends meet. They receive mere pennies for their product while coffee companies make far more. The pastors’ financial needs are an obstacle to their ability to serve their churches effectively. As Prince & Heidi Sabena provided spiritual and ministerial training to the pastors, they saw the need and decided to do something about the economy as well.
They provided coffee harvesting training to the pastors and the community. At harvest time, the farmers applied what they learned. When they had the final product tested, they were astounded that their coffee beans were given a specialty grade! They had it tested a second time with the same result! They look forward to selling the coffee soon on a subscription basis.
