Because of Covid, the Lord opened tightly shut doors to the gospel in indigenous villages surrounding Puebla, Mexico. One day, the children looked scared when Arturo & Silvia Tomé (Mexico) and their team led a Five-Day Bible Club in a village. The Tomé encouraged the children to tell them what was going on. A seven-year-old girl hugged the Tomés and cried with tears running down her cheeks, “Save me!” Her stepfather wanted to burn her hands to punish her for eating a tortilla without permission. The Tomé team was able to diffuse the situation. The teenage mother, who also had been mistreated by the stepfather, went with the team back to Puebla, where a Christian family took in the mother and daughter. The stepfather realizes that his intentions are criminal and regrets his behavior. He now faithfully attends Bible studies. God transforms lives!
