It was a tiny village of ten homes, way off the beaten path. Justin & Rachel Hoy (West Africa) wondered how God could use the discipleship trainees in the middle of nowhere. Yet they completed the entire year of monthly discipleship training. And God greatly used those few West African farmers in the middle of nowhere! They successfully trained three groups of disciples and are now training the fourth group! Recently they evangelized door-to-door in a neighboring village. A family invited them in. For years they had been taught rules and regulations. When they heard the gospel of grace and forgiveness, their interest grew. Looking at Scripture together, the family decided to follow Christ. The master trainers told the village they would have a church service there the following Sunday. They didn’t know what to expect. But the family that had accepted Christ were all present for the service, plus 26 other villagers. The Hoys writes, “As far as we know, this was the first evangelical church service in that village!”
