“The mission field has come to the church parking lot, so let’s share the gospel and pray with them,” Dave & Denise Love (USA) suggested as they got involved in the food pantry ministry of a church. The Loves were given that assignment. When cars pull into the church parking lot and wait for their boxes of food, the Loves go from car to car, gather email information, share upcoming events, and ask if they need prayer. Everyone (except two people) readily shared their burdens and prayer needs. And when people say in broken English, “I don’t speak English,” the veteran missionaries to Latinos quickly switched to Spanish and prayed with them. They were so surprised and grateful. One woman was most likely a Muslim from Morocco.
