We previously told about FIM’s missionary in Venezuela. He lost his backpack containing Christian music, videos, classes, etc. when it fell off the motorcycle. C found the backpack, located the missionary, and returned it to him. C told the missionary that God was really looking out for him. The missionary replied that God was actually trying to get C’s attention. C’s interest was piqued. The two began studying the Bible together. C trusted Christ for salvation. But C’s common-law wife was hesitant. Yet seeing the change in the man she had been living with for 18 years, she agreed to marry him. After a time she began attending services. She had many questions. She thought a lot about what she heard. Finally, she told the missionary on Saturday that she wanted to publicly accept Christ as her Savior the next day at church. She did! On Tuesday she was asking for formal classes. The missionary agreed to do this with her and her husband together. To help make ends meet, she sells ice cream from a stand made by the missionary. The plan is for her husband to continue making the stands to sell.
