The suffering of God’s people is often how God draws the lost to Himself. This past year Paul & Michaela Mackey (Japan) experienced this as he suffered physical ailments that meant several hospital visits, lots of tests, and lots of discomforts. God not only brought healing, but He gave the opportunity to share the gospel with one of the doctors several times. The doctor asked numerous questions about the Bible’s teaching, and Paul was delighted to share with him God’s Word. Paul says, “It wasn’t my plan, but God allowed my suffering to be a means by which He caused me to cross paths with someone seeking to know more about Him.”
