Candidate Orientation

This is a time when we accept and help orient new missionaries with FIM. Candidates in this program fall into two categories. First, the new missionaries just starting out in their missions adventure. Second, we have missionaries who are new to FIM, but transferring from another agency due to a change in their ministry that does not fall under the previous missions objectives.

During orientation, these folks become familiar with the policy and procedures that govern our agency, deepend their understanding and definition of their ministry vision, mission and goals and are trained in presenting and raising support for their ministry in a variety of contexts. At the end of the training, the Board of Directors meets to approve these folks as appointee missionaries with FIM. They are then sent out for support raising or in the case of those who are transferring and already have financial support, back to the field of service.
